Tallaght Rugby League Club formed in 1995. (Renamed West 'Wicklow' Tigers in Summer 2010)
The current Tallaght Tigers website will close in September 2010 & reopen under the West 'Wicklow' Tiger's brand only if enough interest is shown on the 6th October at Grangecon. Let's finally after 25 years make genuine RL work in Ireland & consign 20 years of RU Summer keep fit to the bin where it belongs. Register by contacting Ian at Ianrbalshaw@gmail.com. Experienced & new RL players are very welcome. There are local fixtures available this year providing players train in sufficient numbers & regularly. Training under floodlights at the Community Field, Grangecon, West Wicklow every Wednesday commencing 6th October 7-8.30pm, cost €3/player/Wednesday Session. Grangecon is now only 10 minutes from the newly opened M9 Baltinglass turn off. Any other genuine RL teams wanting to give West Tigers a game would be very welcome. The club is recruiting (both boys & girls ages 5-16) for its Junior/ Youth teams the 'West Wicklow Shamrocks'. The end of the Summer Merit League season will soon be with us, so E'Port RL will return to Winter training starting August at Whitby Sports Club, Wednesday 7-9pm & Sundays 11-1pm (except after Saturday Matches). NW Counties League Cup Matches are to be played at Chester College, north Chester or E'Port venue to be advised from September onwards.
